Sinju Thomas, a Board certified Orthopedic Clinical specialist graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India in 2003. He has worked extensively in orthopedic out-patient settings at hospitals and private practices in India and the U.S. Sinju has a passionate interest in spine and joint conditions and pursued his doctorate degree at Utica College in 2011. His doctoral thesis was on “Efficacy of directional preference exercises in the management of low back pain; an overview of McKenzie Approach. Trained under The McKenzie Institute of USA from 2009 his treatments emphasize Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
Sinju is also a certified Kinesio-taping practitioner who incorporates his skill in patients with sports injuries. He utilizes his training in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for ergonomic training and work re-entry. He has an exceptional talent in implementing his wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the field of orthopedics to provide manual therapy effectively, efficiently and sensitively to bring about a dramatic improvement in the initial visit itself.
Bart Roman specializing in neurological and orthopedic physical therapy completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy program from Utica College, NY and Masters in Physical Therapy from Medical University of Bialystok/Poland. Bart has over 11 years of experience working in outpatient setting implementing physical therapy techniques and managing staff as a supervisor and lead physical therapist. The most recent job position was held at Hudson Valley Hospital Center where he was holding a Lead Physical Therapist position.
Bart underwent intensive training in the field of Vestibular therapy and did his research paper on the same for his doctoral thesis. He also did numerous orthopedic courses in and outside United States including Maitland and Kineso-taping. Bart has experience working with orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, pediatric and sports medicine patients. Bart is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy and a member of Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA).
Allison Jarnich is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with over 16 years experience in the outpatient setting. Allison moved from New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center where she was a senior physical therapist in the outpatient spine and orthopedic clinic to PTPC in January of 2016. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts in 1999.
Allison specializes in spine and orthopedic conditions, received her Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from the McKenzie Institute of USA in 2005. She has experience working with patients with diverse diagnoses including pediatric and adult burn survivors and adults post mastectomy. She has completed numerous manual courses in Maitland and Mulligan Technique and neuro-reeducation courses. PTPC is proud to have Allison in the team as she can utilize her immense experience treating most complex conditions to provide only the highest quality care for our patients.
Mariano Gaviola is a graduate in Physical Therapy from the Cebu Doctors College in the Philippines. With over 20 years of experience - he is an asset not only to PTPC but to the whole community. He has immense experience in treating both Neurological and Orthopedic patients. Mariano is a Certified Neuro Developmental Therapy clinician, a scientific approach in the management of adult hemiplegia. He has been working in orthopedic practice since 2004. He also underwent manual therapy training in Strain-counterstrain, Mulligan’s Technique, Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and Kinesio-taping. Being an avid runner and cyclist he utilizes his experience in training athletes and people with sports specific activities.
